Devoleena Bhattacharjee Slams Payal Malik For Comparing Polygamy With Her Interfaith Marriage

Devoleena Bhattacharjee and Payal Malik’s war of words is seemingly unstoppable. After the former slammed Payal for her polygamous relationship with Armaan and Kritika Malik, the Bigg Boss OTT 3 contestant gave her a befitting reply. However, Devoleena has now once again taken to her social media account to slam Payal for comparing her marriage with interfaith weddings. 

Why did Devoleena Bhattacharjee slam Payal Malik? 

After Devoleena Bhattacharjee penned a long note on Payal’s polygamous marriage the latter hit out by making a comment on her interfaith marriage. Payal Malik, on her eviction from Bigg Boss Ott 3, spoke about Devoleena’s comment and mentioned that she had no right to make such statements. Payal reminded the actress herself that she had married a Muslim man and faced flak from trolls for herself. Devoleena tied the knot with her gym trainer Shanawaz Shaikh, in December 2022.

Replying to the same, Devoleena took to her Instagram stories to share a video of Payal and wrote, “A person needs a higher level of knowledge to compare interfaith marriage with POLYGAMY, which I am sure intelligent people are quite aware of. And it’s not only my right, but it’s every Indian’s right to stand against such an illegal act like polygamy, which they are quite proud to flaunt on national television. Anyways, it’s a matter of individual fate,” she shared, adding, “ Just don’t make a mockery of the lives of those poor women who suffer every day and night because of this nonsense and die a little each day.”

She hit out at Payal and wrote, “Why stop at two? Have 2, 4, or 5 marriages. Just don't spread this disease in society. Each & Every word I said I mean it & still stand by it. And anyway its not new to me people making YouTube content on me. Please do the honour.”

Devoleena Bhattacharjee says her ‘husband is not interested in polygamy’ 

In the same post, the Saath Nibhaana Saathiya actress pulled all stops and claimed that even though she is married to a Muslim man he is not interested in having a polygamous relationship. “She noted, Also even if my husband is muslim he is too loyal to his wife neither he is interested in POLYGAMY and we took 4 years to understand & then got married. Not in merely 7 days. Also in both the cases. Also a women selfrespect shouldn't be compromised. But i can feel you. I know you cant understand this. Honestly i feel pity of you.
