Bade Miyan Chote Miyan On OTT: Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff Starrer Sets Streaming Date
Despite getting a holiday release, BMCM could not perform well and ended up earning below the ₹110 crore mark at the international box office.
Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff starrer action film Bade Miyan Chote Miyan has locked its streaming date. The Ali Abbas Zafar directorial hit the big screens April 10 on the occasion of Eid alongside Ajay Devgn starrer sports drama Maidaan. Despite getting a holiday release, BMCM could not perform well and ended up earning below the ₹110 crore mark at the international box office. Now, the movie is all set to land on streaming service Netflix.
BMCM to arrive on OTT on THIS date
Netflix announced the OTT premiere of BMCM on its streaming service. The movie will premiere on June 6 in multiple languages. The synopsis of the film reads, "With their contrasting personalities and maverick methods, Bade Miyan and Chote Miyan need to overcome their differences and labour together to transport the offenders to impartiality and preserve the day."
In the film Akshay plays the role of special agent Firoz while Tiger plays Rakesh. They take on the bad guys in the movie and one of the evil forces that threaten the safety of their country is Kabir, played by Prithviraj Sukumaran. BMCM is action heavy, with Alay F, Manushi Chhillar and Sonakshi Sinha playing the leading ladies in it.
BMCM's dry run at the box office
BMCM collected slightly above ₹111 crore at the international box office. In India, it minted ₹65.24 crore in Hindi while collections from other regional languages remained below ₹1 crore. The movie got mixed reviews and could not bank in on the holiday fever, earning the tag of a flop despite its star-studded cast and a big budget.
