Pushpa director joins RC16 team as Ram Charan starrer begins pre-production with puja

The production for RC16, the upcoming film starring Ram Charan in the lead, is now officially underway. Earlier today, the producers shared pictures from the puja ceremony organised at the office, which was attended by the crew. The film’s director Buchi Babu Sana could be seen partaking in the puja ceremony in one of the photos. He was joined by director Sukumar of Pushpa fame.

RC16 crew assembles

In a recent media interaction, director Buchi Babu Sana spoke about his collaboration with Ram Charan for their upcoming project. The director also mentioned that he had been working on the script of the yet-untitled sports drama for the past 4 years. The director also informed that RC16 would be a film spawning multiple genres, with a raw and rustic vibe. Buchi Babu Sana’s previous film Uppenna recently won the Best Telugu film award at the 69th National Awards.

In photos shared by the production house, RC16 team performed a puja, which officially marked the beginning of the pre-production work. Pushpa director Sukumar was also snapped with the team.

RC16 to go on the floors next year

RC16 is produced by Venkata Satisha Kilaru. The makers had revealed the first look of Ram Charan in the film earlier this year in March. Later in July, it was reported that Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman had signed on to compose music for the film. The film, which does not have a title yet, will reportedly go on the floors early next year, around the auspicious occasion of Pongal.
