Rajinikanth begins prep for Thalaivar 170 with TJ Gnanavel ahead of Jailer release

Rajinikanth is gearing up for the release of Jailer on August 10. While Rajinikanth's action avatar is awaited by the fans, his upcoming film, titled Thalaivar 170, has huge anticipation riding on it. Directed by TJ Gnanavel of Jai Bhim fame, Rajinikanth will reunite with Lyca Productions for the third time after 2.0 (2018) and Darbar (2020).

Rajinikanth's makeover gets thumbs up from fans

As per reports, Thalaivar 170 has entered its crucial pre-production phase. The actor, along with TJ Gnanavel and a few other crew members, took part in a special look test for the movie. Rajinikanth's makeover was shared by celebrity stylist Hakim Aalim.

Amitabh Bachchan to be part of Thalaivar 170?

It is speculated that Amitabh Bachchan will be reuniting with Rajinikanth after 32 years for the upcoming film with TJ Gnanavel. They have previously worked together in Andhaa Kaanoon and Geraftaar. Telugu star Nani might play a crucial role in this yet-untitled film. The project was announced on the occasion of Lyca Productions' founder Subaskaran Allirajah’s birthday earlier in March. It will have music by Anirudh and is eyeing 2024 release.
