The film, based on real-life events, was released alongside other regional films like KA, Bagheera and Lucky Baskhar, but has trumped all. The movie has now amassed a total of ₹136.75 crore in India. Amaran can enjoy a solo run in the theatres until the release of Suriya starrer Kanguva which will hit the big screens on November 14.
