After a fan urged Clint Eastwood to watch Jigarthanda Double X, the actor took to his social media handle to promise the fan that he would watch the movie.
Karthik Subbaraj's film Jigarthanda DoubleX was a tribute to Stayajit Ray and Clint Eastwood. Recently, a fan of the Tamil movie starring SJ Suryah and Raghava Lawrence took to their social media handle and urged Clint Eastwood to watch Jigarthanda DoubleX as the film pays a heartfelt tribute to him. Soon after the fan made the post, it went viral on the internet and much to the surprise of the fans, Clint Eastwood reacted to it.
Clint Eastwood to watch Jigarthanda Double X?
Karthik Subbaraj's Jigarthanda DoubleX went on to became a huge success. Amid the film's success, a fan tagged Clint Eastwood on their X account and requested him to watch the movie. He wrote, "Dear @RealTheClint We are Indians We made a Tamil movie called Jigarthanda Double X.Its available in Netflix.We have given u a great tribute in the whole movie.We made some animated scenes like u in ur young age.Please watch it once u get some time (sic)."
Soon after, Clint Eastwood responded to the fan and wrote, "Hi. Clint is aware of this Movie and he states he will get to it upon Completion of his New Film. Juror 2. Thank You (sic)." After getting a response from Clint Eastwood, fans are eagerly waiting for Karthik Subbaraj's team to celebrate this huge win.
Jigarthanda Double X is an ode to Clint Eastwood
During an interview, Kartik Subbaraj said that Jigarthanda DoubleX is his tribute to the Western genre, particularly the films of Clint Eastwood. He said, "Absolutely. When we made the first promo for the first Jigarthanda, it featured a poster of Clint Eastwood. In the new film, the script lends itself very close to the Western tropes, and I have tried to explore it to the maximum. This is the closest tribute I can do for Western films and Eastwood." Meanwhile, the film released in theatres on November 10.
