It seems the criticism regarding the loud background score, causing headaches and other minor details is the reason for its low box office collection on the second day. On the second day of the release, the movie minted only ₹9 crore in India, early estimates reported by Sacnilk. On the opening day, the movie earned ₹24 crore with a maximum in Tamil languages (14.9 crores), followed by the Telugu version minting ₹5.5 crore and Hindi ₹3.5 crore. Adding the two-day collection, the total stands at ₹33 crore, per Sacnilk.Kanguva had an overall 18.57 per cent Tamil occupancy on Friday, with the maximum reported in Chennai (30 per cent).Kanguva mounted on a reported budget of ₹300 crore, did a business of over ₹50 crore worldwide on the opening day.Why is Kanguva receiving backlash?The audience praised the performance of Suriya and Bobby Deol in the movie, but they couldn't enjoy it much because of the loud background score. Owing to this, produced KE Gnanavel Raja spoke to the press on Friday in Hyderabad and stated corrective measures were being taken to address the issues of loud sound.
