Raayan: Dhanush's Directorial To Not Release In June?

Dhanush was last seen in the rather successful Captain Miller. The Arun Matheswaran directorial made for the actor's first film to hit theatres this year - the first of many, all part of his lineup. The actor is now gearing up to be seen in Raayan, previously tentatively titles D50, marking the actor's 50th film on screen. Not only does Dhanush star in Raayan but he has also donned the director's hat for the same. A potential update about the film's release, has now been doing the rounds of the internet.

Has Raayan been delayed?

For the unversed, Raayan has been slated for a release on June 13 in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. The premise of the film has been tightly kept under wraps, though the intriguing dark-themed poster has sufficiently peaked the interest of fans. So far, only the film's first song has been released. As per a recent 123Telugu report however, Raayan, in all likelihood, will not be seeing through a release on the aforementioned date.

The report states that the film currently stands delayed to a later date - more specifically sometime between July or August. An official confirmation on news of this delay, is yet to come through.

What is next for Dhanush?

Irrespective of whether Raayan has been delayed or not, the film is affirmatively the actor-director's next release on the cards. Also in the works, is film Kubera, in which the actor will share screen space with Nagarjuna and Rashmika Mandanna. The first look of the film was recently released. Next in his lineup is the big banner biopic of Ilaiyaraaja, set to be directed by Arun Matheswaran.

Pursuing his directorial flair, Dhanush is also currently mounting romantic comedy Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam.
