Suriya Expresses Grief Over Editor Nishadh's Death, Calls Him 'Important Person' Of Kanguva Team

Suriya took to his social media account to express grief on the passing away of the Kanguva film editor Nishadh Yusuf. The 43-year-old was found dead in an apartment here in the early hours of Wednesday, as per PTI. He was found at around 2 am in an apartment in Panampilly Nagar.

Suriya pens a heartfelt note for Nishadh Yusuf

On October 30, hours after Nishadh Yusuf's passing Suriya took to his X (formerly Twitter) account to pen a note of condolence. The Kanguva actor called Yusuf a ‘quiet and important’ part of the film. The tragedy has happened two weeks before the release of the movie.

Suriya took to his social media account to write, “Heartbroken to hear Nishadh is no more! You’ll always be remembered as a quiet and important person of team Kanguva.. In our thoughts and prayers..! My heartfelt condolences to Nishadh’s family & friends. RIP” He shared the note with a photo of Yusuf.

Earlier Studio Green, the production house of the Suriya starrer also shared their tribute on social media. Their official statement read, “We are deeply shocked and saddened by the sudden passing of our beloved editor, #NishadYusuf 💔 Your talent, dedication and vision were invaluable assets to our team and your absence leaves us with a profound void. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family and friends during this difficult time.”

Noted film editor Nishadh Yusuf was found dead in an apartment here in the early hours of Wednesday. A police officer said that the incident is suspected to be a case of suicide. He, however, did not provide further details. A Kerala State Film Award winner for Best Editor in 2022, Yusuf’s notable works include Thallumaala, Chaaver, Unda, Saudi Vellakka, One, Operation Java, Bazooka, and Kanguva. He won the Best Editor State Award for his work on Thallumaala.
