Suriya Suffers Head Injury On Sets Of Kartik Subbaraj Directorial, Producer Shares Health Update

Actor Suriya is one of the finest actors in the Indian film industry and has proved his mettle time and again. He has several much-anticipated projects lined up. Recently, Suriya had to halt a film shoot due to unforseen circumstances.

Suriya sustains minor head injury

Actor Suriya Sivakumar suffered a minor head injury while filming his upcoming movie, presently referred to as 'Suriya 44.' The shoot of the film was reportedly halted temporarily following the incident.

However, the producer of the film Rajsekha Pandian reassured fans of Suriya’s well-being through a social media post. To calm down the fans, he wrote in the caption, “Dear #AnbannaFans, it was a minor injury. Please don’t worry. Suriya Anna is perfectly fine with all your love and prayers.”

The public is waiting impatiently for news on Suriya's health and when filming for ‘Suriya 44’ will start again.

The official poster for Suriya's 'Suriya 44' was unveiled on March 28. Sharing the news, he wrote, "New beginnings. Need all your good wishes." Suriya 44 is said to be a  film brimming with "romance, humour, and war." The cast of the film includes Pooja Hegde, Jayaram, Joju George, Karunakaran, Nassar, and Sujith Shankar, among other actors.

What’s next for Suriya?

Suriya’s most-anticipated film Kanguva is all set for its release. According to reports, Kanguva is billed as one of the big-budget films of the year from Indian Cinema and is reportedly made at a cost of ₹350 crore.

Kanguva is scheduled for a global theatrical release on October 10, 2024, which will coincide with Dussehra. Kanguva will be available in 2D, 3D, and IMAX formats. Disha Patani, Natarajan Subramaniam, Jagapathi Babu and Yogi Babu, among others will also play a prominent role in Kanguva. Bobby Deol will be playing the role of antagonist.

The official synopsis of the Tamil film read, "A story that travels 500 years from the 1700s to 2023 is about a hero who has to fulfill a mission left unfinished. A story of gratitude." Siruthai Siva has directed the film.
