Mamitha Baiju, who won the hearts of audiences with her performance in the hit Malayalam movie Premalu, is likely to share screen space with Thalapathy Vijay. The actress made her debut in Tamil cinema with  G. V. Prakash Kumar starrer Rebel. Now, she is rumoured to be part of Vijay's Thalapathy69.

Mamitha Baiju to star in Thalapathy69?

An X handle dedicated to Vijay claimed that Mamitha is in discussions for a significant role in Thalapathy69. According to a report in 123Telugu, she will be playing Vijay's sister in the movie. However, the official announcement regarding the same is awaited. The movie is being helmed by H Vinoth and bankrolled by KVN Productions. Anirudh Ravichander will be composing the songs in the movie.

According to multiple reports, the makers have kicked off with the look test in Chennai and are expected to commence the shooting of the film's poster and teaser. If reports are to be believed then, the makers are planning to announce the movie after the release of The Greatest Of All Time aka GOAT, helmed by Venkat Prabhu. It is scheduled to release on September 5, but now it seems, the makers might postpone the release.

Her last movie was Rebel which earned luke lukewarm response from the critics and audience. The actress is yet to announce her next project.
