Taylor Swift controversy: The singer says she is banned from singing her old hits

Taylor Swift, on Friday (November 15), posted a bittersweet note on her social media. The popular singer revealed that her upcoming music performance at the American Music Awards is in jeopardy. Reportedly, the singer has been banned from performing any of her old songs by the music label Big Machine Label's head Scott Borchetta and his partner Scooter Braun, which owns the legal rights of Taylor Swift's music single. A few days ago, the American singer revealed that she will perform a medley of her old hits at the American Music Awards, to be held on November 24. But, all her plans went in vain after Big Machine Label's Scott Borchetta and Scooter Braun banned her from using any of her old hits for her performance at the awards. The singer revealed that Scott Brichetta and Scooter Braun are calling the television performance as an illegal re-recording and are pressurising her to cancel her performance.

Is Scott Brichetta threatening Taylor Swift?

According to media reports, Taylor Swift is planning to release the copycat version of her sensational hit singles by the end of next year. Following this update, Big Machine's head Scoot Borchetta has proposed a deal to Swift. Borchetta is asking her to cancel her recording plans and concentrate on making new songs. A media report claims the rejection of the deal has led to Big Machine banning Swift's performance at the American Music Awards. According to reports, Taylor Swift plans to fight against Scott Borchetta and the music label and has asked her fans support for the same. Swift has asked her fans to join her in the movement against Scott Brichetta and Scooter Bruan. Minutes after the singer's social media post, social media was ignited with hashtags like 'IStandWithTaylor' and 'FreeTaylor'.
