The fans of the American fantasy drama series Game of Thrones took over social media to point out the misplaced Starbucks coffee cup placed in a scene where the heroes gather to celebrate their victory. The photo that surfaced online had actor Emilia Clarke at the table on which the cup was kept. Naturally, all fingers pointed to the actor as the culprit as even HBO issued an explanation stating that it was her coffee cup.
The Khaleesi's verdict is out
However, on a recent episode of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, the Game of Thrones actor Emilia Clarke opened all her cards and revealed the true identity of the coffee cup owner. Emilia had earlier been accused by her Game of Thrones co-star Sophie Turner. However, she claimed innocence as she went on to identify Conleth Hill, who plays Lord Varys, as the actual owner of the infamous coffee cup. She even went on record and recalled Conleth's confession of the same. The talk show host, Jimmy Fallon took to Twitter and shared the clip online.

The Game of Thrones actor has attempted to exonerate herself previously by posting a picture of herself with Peter Dinklage, who played Lord Tyrion Lannister, and Jason Momoa, who played Khal Drogo in the series. She captioned the picture with hints that it could be Momoa leaving behind the empty cups of coffee on the set. However, the post did little to help her cause.
Here is Emilia Clarke's post:
What's next for Emilia Clarke?
Emilia has done remarkably well on the silver screen with her portrayal as Daenerys Targaryen in Game of Thrones. Her role as Louisa Clark in the movie Me Before You won accolades for her as the movie was a commercial success. While HBO is currently working on three spin-offs of the epic drama, Emilia Clarke is set to play the English poet Elizabeth Barrett in the film Let Me Count the Ways, which will be directed by The Wife director Bjorn Runge.
