Emraan Hashmi is gearing up for his second release of the year 2019. The actor announced the release date of his next titled, The Body. The film, slated to release on December 13, 2019, will clash at the box office with Rani Mukerji starrer Mardaani 2. Rani's cop-drama which was taking a solo release in the second week of December will now have a competition.
Details of The Body
Apart from Emraan, the thriller film will also feature actors like Rishi Kapoor, Sobhita Dhulipala, and Vedhika in pivotal roles among others. The director's hat will be donned by Jeetu Joseph. The film will release under the banner of Azure Entertainment along with Viacom18 Media and T-Series. The first poster of the film seems intriguing featuring spilt red wine, looking like blood, with things like rings, a bottle of pills, a mobile phone and a note stating 'miss you jaan'. All the elements present in the poster indicate that it could be a murder mystery.
Clash with Mardaani 2
Earlier the month of December had four Bollywood releases, but now The Body also joined the club. Out of the four films, Rani's Mardaani 2 and Salman's Dabangg 3 were taking a solo release. Furthermore, Kartik Aaryan's Pati Patni Aur Woh is going to face a clash with Ashutosh Gowariker's Panipat.
The Gopi Puthran directorial, Mardaani 2, is a sequel to 2014's critically acclaimed film Mardaani. Talking about Mardaani 2, Rani will reprise her character Shivani Shivaji Roy.
