Hina Khan has come to the defence of her friend and actress Ankita Lokhande after producer Sandiip Sikcand took to his social media account to pen a long note against the Pavitra Rishta actress. On October 25, Hina Khan took to her social media account to share 5 questions for the producer and pointed out to him that ‘actors are indispensable’ in television shows. She noted that actors have to work for 10-12 hours each day, every day for years altogether.

Days after Sandiip accused television actors, like Ankita Lokhande of being unprofessional and not giving enough hours on the set, Hina Khan took to her social media to slam him. In a long note, the Naagin actor wrote, “5 questions No. 1 - We have seen Pavitra Rishta's successfully run for many many years, when did Pavitra Rishta's telecast repeat because of Ankita? No. 2 - In a factory-like creative arrangement, how many years will you survive as a lead? No. 3 - Can you with all sincerity post the same questions to film stars who work on film to film, I repeat film to film, and still only work according to their whims and fancies which I believe they have earned over the years just like actors in television? No 4. How long would you seek two-minute fame at the expense of the people from your own fraternity, who by all means are standing up for our fraternity? No. 5 Who made you the representative or the President or the mouthpiece of the entire television industry?”

In a follow-up note, she continued to talk about how television actors are the only people on the set who cannot be replaced. She said, “Once cast, the Actor is indispensable and must make it to the set, come what may until you replace them or kill them off.” She then noted how actors have shown up on sets and given their shots even after experiencing hardships. She shared, “Actors from Indian television faint, go through depression, fall ill yet have given closes from the hospital and sometimes while they're just of surgery or have lost their dear ones when they're in a cast of plaster and are immobile. But they show up.” She continued her post by writing, “Please get down off your high horse and yes don't forget to kindly shut up! This 2-minute fame shall be enough for you this year, Cheers!”

Sandiip Sikcand calls Hina Khan ‘jobless’

Hina Khan’s strong nite did not go unnoticed by Sandiip. The producer shared his response on social media. Replying to her, Sandiip wrote, “Thank you for extending my minute fame to 4 minutes - much appreciated. A lot of my friends & followers want me to respond but I really don't bark back at people who bark at me - just not my style. As a viewer, I will continue with my opinions and people with no jobs can find new jobs by responding to them. As they say, water off the ducks back @ #getalife.”
