When approached by paparazzi urging her to pose, she delivered a sarcastic reply with a shocking expression and a hint of mockery. The video garnered attention on social media, sparking varied reactions from netizens. She said, "Ab aap mujhe bataayenge to pose. Wow."

Following the video's upload, netizens expressed diverse opinions. While some defended Hina's right to respond as she pleased, others criticised her for what they perceived as arrogance. A user wrote, "Kitni arrogant hai yeh. What does it take to be nice." Another one penned, "Stop giving her attention. She should know how to behave."

These reports become stronger because of the development in October when the screenplay of Country of Blind was acquired by the Oscars Library, to be part of its permanent collection.

Expressing her excitement about the subject, Hina Khan had said: "Fingers crossed for this to turn into a nomination! I am extremely happy to see all the hard work pay off in such a special way. From Cannes to the Oscars, it’s been an exciting journey.” Hina Khan further spoke about how it was lovely to see an Independent Indian production hit such a milestone, adding,  “Being able to represent India on such prestigious platforms like Cannes and now the Oscars is truly a moment of pride for me and our entire film team.”
