Indian Idol 11: Contestant Abhinash Bawri leaves Neha Kakkar in tears

Indian Idol is a singing TV reality show that airs on Sony TV. The show features Anu Malik, Vishal Dadlani and Neha Kakkar as judges. It is hosted by Aditya Narayan. The auditions were held in Delhi in the episode that aired on October 18.

Golden Ticket winners

The first contestant in the episode was Rishabh Chaturvedi. He is a 22-year-old boy from Amritsar who sang Aahun Aahun from Love Aaj Kal. The next contestant who got the golden ticket was Alish Mohan. He has been a student of music for the past fifteen years. He belongs to a musical family, as his grandfather was also in the music industry and his father played the tabla. His family's journey made judge Neha Kakkar emotional. Alish sang Aaoge Jab Tum from Jab We Met.

Chetna Bharadwaj was the next contestant to audition. She is a 20-year-old student from Delhi who sang Imtehaan Ho Gayi. A farmer named Rahul Khade auditioned next. He talked about how he sings devotional songs every evening at a temple in his village. Khade sang the Marathi song Khel Mandala from Natarang.

The next contestant on stage was Abhinash Bawri who is blind by birth. He revealed that out of his frustration, he even tried to burn his face. Looking at his burn marks, Kakkar started crying and couldn't stop her tears as Abhinash sang Aas Paas Khuda from Anjaana Anjaani. Next came a group of ladies who were the aunts of a contestant named Ridham Kalyan. Ridham sang Mere Maula while the ladies danced with judges Vishal Dadlani and Anu Malik. Finally, Pratibha Dutta, a 17-year-old girl, sang Karle Pyaar and won the golden ticket.

Golden Mic winner

Contestant Jannabi Das won the golden mic. She is a 28-year-old girl from Delhi. While introducing herself, she shared that she loves food. She sang Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na song from the movie of the same name. Her voice impressed the judges and won her a golden mic. 

This is the 11th season of the show. The winner of Indian Idol season 10 was Salman Ali.
