Kaun Banega Crorepati is a famous Hindi game show hosted by the Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan. The pattern of the show consists of a series of multiple-choice questions that lead you higher into the game charge as the questions proceed. Every question is allotted a certain amount of cash that the player wins if answered correctly. Through the game show, Kaun Banega Crorepati has offered a helping hand to people who come from unfortunate backgrounds.
Here's an update on the 11th season of Kaun Banega Crorepati
Kaun Banega Crorepati 11 saw its first Rs 1 crore winner in Bihar’s Sanoj Raj as he answered 15 questions correctly. Sanoj is an IAS aspirant. Currently, he is a mid-day worker at Amravati, Maharashtra. The hardworking gentleman left the game show with ₹1 Crore which he claims to be his father’s because of all that he’s done for Sanoj. Sanoj was accompanied to the show with his father and uncle. Sanoj called up his mother after winning a crore who believed that Sanoj’s hard work was finally paying off. The 1 crore question that Sanoj answered successfully was “The father of which Chief Justice of India was once chief minister of an Indian state?”
He found it difficult to answer the last question since he did not have any lifelines left. The 19-year-old Himanshu Dhuria who is a pilot by profession became the youngest contestant on the show to attempt the ₹ 1 crore question. However, he decided to drop out of the game by bagging ₹ 50 lakhs that he won. Karan Johar tweeted with pride that he knew the ₹1 Crore question. It was connected to his upcoming film Takht.
Not long after, Gautam Kumar Jha was the third man to be seated in the hot seat who attempted the ₹ 1 crore question. And fortunately, he could answer the pivotal question correctly. The question that won him ₹1 crore was “Aboard which made-in-India ship did Francis Scott Key write the poem ‘Defence of Fort M-Henry’ that became the US National Anthem?”.
