And this week, the show will welcome Karamveer Sunitha Krishnan and her husband. The Padmashree Awardee fights against sex trafficking and is a victim of gangrape herself. In her early teen years, she was subjected to the gruesome crime by 8 men. Speaking about such incidents, she revealed that the youngest child she faced from the crime was just three and a half years old. And now, taking to social media, Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma hailed the 'crusader' and that the incident that was brought to light on the show is just 'shocking and heartbreaking'. In an engaging chat at an international summit, the activist revealed what motivates her to work towards women welfare. Sunitha Krishnan revealed a traumatic incident from the past has led her to help women who are forced into the flesh trade without their will. Sunitha Krishnan, who was sexually assaulted by eight men at the age of 15, recovered from the trauma of her assault. The activist shared, she might have recovered from the trauma, but the shame and ridicule of the society still linger in her mind. This anger against the conventions of the society, helped her set up her NGO called Prajwala, an organization that works on the rescuing women from the sex trade and trafficking and helps them build a new life.
