Nia Sharma opens up about her struggle with eating disorder and fears

Television actor Nia Sharma is one of those actors who are majorly known for their looks and appearance. Be it an appearance for an award night or her casual gym outfit, her fans never miss the chance to praise the actor in the comments section of her posts. In 2017, Nia was ranked 2nd in the top 50 Sexiest Women in Asia. She keeps inspiring her fans with her workout videos and health regime. Talking about how she maintained her weight, the actor opened up about her fears too, in an interview with a leading daily.
When the interviewer asked her about how she copes up with the pressure of looking best all the time, the 29-year-old actor said that the physiological factors that lead to gaining weight have scared her in the past few years. She mentioned that she was obsessed with her weight, and even if she put on a kilo, she would start worrying about it. As a result of which, there have been many times when she ended up starving herself. She said she often threw up deliberately on food, because of normal bloating too. She also stated that she has skipped her lunches and dinners because of her weight obsession.
Mentioning her co-star and friends Arjun Bijlani and Ravi Dubey, she said that both of them made her understood that these are not healthy habits. Giving tips to the women who are suffering from the same fear, the Jamai Raja actor requested them to stop these unhealthy practices as it can drain them. Ending the conversation, she said that maintaining a healthy diet is also important, apart from gyming and work out. She signed off saying that though she suffered from this eating disorder, she is over it now.
