Rick and Morty Season 4 episode 2: Fans call it 'emotional' & 'hilarious'

Rick and Morty’s second episode of season 4 aired on November 17, 2019, at 11:30 ET. It was titled The Old Man And The Seat and explored the premise of how apps are taking over humans and how Rick is a shy pooper. It changed the way viewers looked at the show by giving a meaning full twist where Rick is the prey of his own trap.

The fans reacted to the show with a lot of different ways as it was a very different episode from the usual. The creators, Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon, had said that as they now have renewed a 70-episode contract, they will be exploring many different things. This episode is an example of what the creators were saying. We last saw Rick this sad in episode 3 of season 2 where he tries to kill himself as he has no companion. This episode shows what the line “Wubba lubba dub dub” feels like. The second episode explored the idea of how love is uncertain and no one has perfected love till date.
