Rupali Abused My Mother Physically, Mentally: Actress' Stepdaughter Levels Serious Allegations

Rupali Ganguly Family Controversy: The Anupamaa actress known for the ideal image as portrayed in the serial, is in the eye of the storm that has ensued after her stepdaughter levelled allegations against her and her husband Ashwin Verma. Esha Verma took to her social media account to share that the actress is far from her character in real life. Esha is the daughter of Rupali's husband- Ashwin Verma and his second wife.

Rupali Ganguly's stepdaughter claims she 'stole her mother's jewellery'  

Rupali Ganguly's stepdaughter Esha Verma is leaving no stone unturned to share her side of the story and incidents from her childhood. The 26-year-old in an interview with Free Press Journal claimed that her parents separated in 2008, but her father had an affair with Rupali since 2000. While she put the majority of the blame on her father - Ashwin Verma, she claimed that Rupali Ganguly does not practice any values her show teaches and harbours a darker side to her that nobody knows.
 

Speaking to the publication, Esha said, “Rupali would come to my house in New Jersey and stay in my parents bedroom and steal my mother’s jewellery. And when we would come to Mumbai to visit my grand parents, she would come to my house and would abuse my mother and she threatened me and my mother and she claimed that I was not my father’s kid." She added that the Sarabhai vs Sarabhai fame would not allow his father's children from previous marriage to even have a telephonic conversation with him.

In the same conversation, Esha also shared, “I don’t understand where a child goes wrong that two adults deliberately break a marriage and having a woman not even let a child meet her father? She (Rupali) would literally threaten me when I would call my father and would yell, ‘Watch what I do to you, do not call him.’ She would say even worse things to my mother."
 

Recalling the hardships her family faced, Esha mentioned that her mother has suffered the most. She added, “My mother has suffered the most. I would say I also suffered but I can’t even say what my mother endured because she went through abuse through my father, through Rupali, physically, emotionally, mentally all that.” She even hinted that she has murkier details to share about Rupali Ganguly and will do so shortly, at the right time. Amid the controversy, the Anupamaa star has been silent.
