Rupali Ganguly Family Controversy: The Anupamaa actress is in the eye of a controversy after her stepdaughter Esha Verma levelled serious allegations against her and her husband. The 26-year-old alleged that the actress physically and mentally abused her mother restricted her husband from keeping contact with his former family and made her feel ‘unsafe’. After multiple accusations, the actress finally responded by filing a ₹50 crore defamation suit against her stepdaughter. Esha has now reacted to the case. Rupali Ganguly files defamation case against stepdaughter On November 12, Rupali Ganguly sent a defamation notice to her stepdaughter, Esha Verma, seeking compensation of Rs 50 crore for 'maligning' her character and personal life. The legal notice was in response to Esha's 'false and damaging statements' and the step was taken to protect her reputation. The notice mentioned that Ganguly also seeks compensation of Rs 50 crore. Our client states that it is apposite to put the true and correct facts leading to the issuance of the present notice…" In the notice, it has been mentioned that Rupali Ganguly underwent mental trauma because of which she had to seek medical assistance and that she was humiliated on set and lost professional opportunities.Esha Verma reacts to defamation noticeFollowing the defamation suit, Rupali Ganguly's stepdaughter Esha Verma deactivated her Instagram account. It was on her social media account she used to share videos and notes about her situation. At the time of publishing, Esha had deactivated her account. It is also being reported that she had deleted the video in which she made allegations against the actress before deactivating the account. In the comment, she accused Ganguly of having an affair with her father Ashwin while he was still married to her mother, describing Rupali as "cruel-hearted". The post quickly made waves online, leading Ashwin to issue a statement on X denying the claims. In response, Esha posted on Instagram, saying, "There's a darker side to this story...
