Viral: Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai Actor Deven Bhojani Credited For 'Fixing' Microsoft Outage By Memers

The Microsoft Outage has sent the internet users around the globe stuck and in a frenzy. Social media users found an opportunity in the event and created rib-tickling memes. A particular topical meme featuring the character of Dushyant from the popular television show Sarabhai vs Sarabhai has especially garnered the attention of netizens as well as the actor Deven Bhojani, who portrayed the character. 

Social media users leave it to Deven Bhojani to ‘explain' the Microsoft global outage 

On July 19, a technical outage in the Microsoft servers severely impacted the functions of major tech companies, banks, airlines and exchanges. The internet found this as an opportunity to create hilarious memes and posts highlighting the chaos. X (formerly Twitter) users took to the social media platform to link the outage to Deven Bhojani's character in the show Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai. For the unversed, the actor played the son-in-law of the protagonists Maya and Indrajit Sarabhai. He was a self-acclaimed electronics engineer and had a knack for fixing tech-related issues for the family. 
 

The character would often say on the show, “Let me explain it to you”, and would go on to complicatedly talk about seemingly easy-to-solve issues. His catchphrase became a callback for netizens during the global problem. The actor himself reshared memes made on his character. Sharing a picture of his character from the show, a user wrote, “The guy who fixed Microsoft". Another said, “People facing #Microsoft outage must call #Dushyant for help.” Another user claimed, “Guy has been fixing Indian television for decades." Several such posts have flooded the internet. 

What was Deven Bhojani's role in Sarabhai vs Sarabhai? 

Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai was a popular television show that revealed around the life of a Gujarati family living in a posh area in Mumbai. The matriarch of the family Maya Sarabhai (Ratna Pathak Shah) would call the shots in the household which consisted of her husband Indravardhan (Satish Shah) and their two sons - Sahil (Sumeet Raghavan), and Rosesh (Rajesh Kumar). Maya's equation with her daughter-in-law -Monisha (Rupali Ganguly), who hailed from a middle-class family formed the main plot of the show. 

Maya and Indravardhan also had a daughter Sonic, a physic, who is married to the gadget-freak Dushyant. He always irks the family by explaining different theories about different gadgets and using Rosesh for each demonstration. His catchphrase is "I'll explain!" and does not understand sarcasm which leads to humorous situations.
