What Did Hina Khan, Diagnosed With Breast Cancer, Do Hours Before Her First Chemo?

Hina Khan recently announced that she has been diagnosed with Stage 3 Breast Cancer. She penned a long post assuring her fans that she had started with the treatment and would fight the disease. Now, the actress has dropped another post sharing her BTS moments from an award function and said that this day marked the beginning of one of the most challenging phases of her life.

Hours before her first chemo, Hina Khan attended an award function despite knowing that she had been diagnosed with Breast Cancer. However, she consciously chose to normalise this experience not just for herself, but for everyone. "So Let’s do some affirmations. We become what we believe in and I have decided to take this challenge as an opportunity to reinvent myself, again. I have decided to keep the spirit of positivity as the first tool in my toolkit. I have consciously decided to manifest the outcome I desire," she wrote.

The actress added that her work commitments matter, and she refuses to bow down. She further explained why she attended the award ceremony right before her chemo. "This award that I received right before my first chemo was not my motivation alone, in fact, I attended this event to reassure myself that I am living up to the benchmark, I have set up for myself," she continued. Towards the end of her long note, Hina urged everyone to first normalise the challenges of their lives then set goals for themselves and try to live up to them all along the way. "Never back down. Never give up," she concluded.

After attending the event, the actress went straight up to the hospital for her first chemo.

Hina Khan says 'this too shall pass'

On Sunday night, Hina shared an Instagram Story giving a shout-out to all those battling cancer. She penned a motivational message for fighters, offering a glimpse of her journey. "A window to my journey," she wrote and added, "This is to all those courageous women and men who are fighting this tough battle... I wish my journey can be courageous and motivating enough for people out there to turn a page in their own stories for good. And remember we may be SCARRED but we MUST not be SCARED. #Scarrednotscared."

Hina is widely recognised for portraying Akshara Maheshwari Singhania in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. She has also appeared in reality shows such as Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 8 and Bigg Boss.
