During his time on Indian Idol, Salman was not only the judge's favourite but every celebrity who used to come on the show used to praise and appreciate him for his performance. The singer has also garnered a massive fan following and many of his fans have been putting up posts on social media to congratulate him on his victory.
However, before gaining massive success, reportedly, Salman has faced a lot of ordeals in his life, because of his poor financial status. The 'Indian Idol' 10 winner belongs to a small village named Puhana in Mewat district of Haryana where his main family business is to sing and perform at various functions and weddings.
As per reports, his family have been doing the same from the past four generations.
Because his family's financial condition, his parents were unable to send him to school due to which he gained formal education only till 9th standard.
However, this is not the first time that Salman has taken part in a reality show. Back in 2011, Salman became the first runner-up of 'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L'il Champs' wherein music maestro Kailash Kher was his guru on the show. Even as a kid, he wooed many with his magical voice.
Salman began his musical career when he was just seven-years-old where he used to sing with his father and grandfather at local jagrans.
