Amitabh Bachchan Calls Himself 'Member Of Tollywood' At ANR Award, Poses With Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna

On the occasion of Akkineni Nageswara Rao’s (ANR) birth anniversary, ANR National Awards 2024 event was held in Hyderabad. Megastar Chiranjeevi and Amitabh Bachchan were invited for the event by Nagarjuna. The trio later posed for a picture, which is now going viral on social media.

The ANR National Awards which was held at Hyderabad, was attended by several celebrities. The much awaited part is when Chiranjeevi was honoured with ANR National Award by none other than Amitabh Bachchan. Excited fans took to comment section to congratulate the actor. One user wrote, “Heartiest congratulations”. Another user wrote, “King of Indian cinema megastar Chiranjeevi”. “Jai mega star”, wrote the third user.
A video which has been shared by Annapurna Studios on X, in which after Amitabh Bachchan presented Chiranjeevi with the award and shawl and trophy, an emotional Chiranjeevi bowed down and touched Big B’s feet to take his blessings.
Followed by this, Chiranjeevi, Amitabh Bachchan and Nagarjuna posed together for a picture. The picture is now going viral on social media.
Amitabh Bachchan expressed that he is proud of being part of the Telugu film industry, who made his Telugu debut in the the recent release Kalki 2898 AD. He said, “"I am now proud to say that I am part of the Telugu film industry”. Big B thanked Chiranjeevi and said, “Thank you Chiranjeevi for your friendship, concern, love, affection, humility and hospitality. You sent me so much lunch that I would have fed the whole hotel today. Please treat me as a member of Telugu film industry from now on. Thank you so much”.
All about ANR National Awards 2024
The ANR National Award is instituted by the Akkineni International Foundation in the honor of Akkineni Nageswara Rao. The award was given annually to recognize people for their lifetime achievements and contributions to the Indian film industry.
Recipients for ANR National Awards include Dev Anand, Shabana Azmi, Anjali Devi, Vyjayanthimala, Lata Mangeshkar, K Balachander, Hema Malini , Shyam Bengal, Amitabh Bachchan, SS Rajamouli, Sridevi and Rekha.
