Astrologer Predicting Naga Chaitanya-Sobhita Dhulipala's Split Summoned By Women's Commission

Astrologer Venu Swamy landed in legal trouble after the Telugu Film Journalist Association (TFJA) filed a police complaint against him for his insensitive video on Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala's engagement. They claimed that his prediction had caused mental agony to the individuals involved. Swamy uploaded a video on his social media handle predicting that Chay and Sobhita's relationship will end in 2027 due to another woman.  In a recent update, Telangana State Women's Commission took cognizance of the complaint and has summoned Swamy to appear before them for an explanation.

According to industry tracker Suresh, the Telangana State Women's Commission has directed Swany to appear before them to explain his recent comments on Chaitanya and Sobhita's relationship. The commission has summoned him to appear on August 22. They shared a press note in Telugu which we loosely translated to English, "Following the complaint of Film Journalist Association, Telugu Film Digital Media Association Dt: 12.08.2024 Chairperson of Women's Commission Ms. Nerella Sharada responded Dt: 22.08.2024 and said that a summons has been issued to Venu Swamy to appear in person on 22.08.2024."

Astrologer Venu Swamy issues clarification over his controversial video

Swamy released a video on his Instagram page, predicting the star couple’s future. He predicted that Chay and Sobhita’s relationship would end in 2027 due to another woman. Later, he shared another video to put an end to the controversy and clarified that he predicted Chay-Sobhita’s future only as an extension of his prediction of Chay-Samantha’s future. “I had vowed to never predict film stars and politicians’ futures, and I will stick to my word. MAA President Manchu Vishnu has spoken to me, and I assured him that I will never predict film stars’ future,” said Swamy in a now-viral clip.

Naga Chaitanya and SSobhita got engaged in a low-key celebration on August 8 in Hyderabad. The couple kept their relationship a secret for years and only confirmed it via their engagement photos recently. Earlier, Chay was married to actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu from 2017 to 2021.
