Captain Miller: Shiva Rajkumar reveals why working with co-star Dhanush was 'challenging'
Shiva Rajkumar said that Captain Miller co-star Dhanush is a different kind of performer and that the audience is easily able to connect with him.
Captain Miller makers are on a spree to promote their film amid the reports of the film being pulled out of Sankranti release. Shiva Rajkumar, who plays a prominent role in the film, opened up about working with Dhanush. During the pre-release event, Rajkumar compared Dhanush to the legendary martial artist and actor Bruce Lee.

Speaking at the event, Shiva Rajkumar said that Dhanush is a different kind of performer and added that the audience is easily able to connect with him as he gives a "boy next door" vibe. Praising Karnan actor's screen presence, Rajkumar added that the actor tends to improvise a lot on the shot, due to which it is quite challenging to work with him.
Speaking about the film, Shiva Rajkumar shared that each character in the film is driven by their personal motives, adding a layer of emotion to it.
Captain Miller certification
The film is under trimming and censorship by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), which instructed the filmmakers to reduce violence, including scenes featuring multiple stabbings, a temple fight sequence, a climax fight sequence, and more.
Along with the cuts, the censor board also directed that certain abusive words must be muted. According to the censor report, the film has a runtime of 2 hours, 37 minutes and 50 seconds.

Helmed by Arun Matheswaran, the film is being released in the theatres as scheduled - January 12 - the week of Pongal. Earlier, in an interview, the director revealed that the film also has a prequel and sequel but will only be released depending on how well the film turns out commercially. The other two parts are yet to be announced. Apart from Dhanush and Rajkumar, the film also stars Priyanka Arul Mohan, Sundeep Kishan, John Kokken, and Edward Sonnenblick in supporting roles.
