Allu Arjun-Rashmika Mandanna starrer Pushpa 2 was scheduled to release in theatres nationwide on Independence Day. However, on June 17, the makers of the movie revealed that the film will now arrive on December 6. This did not sit well with social media users who were waiting in anticipation to see the actors reprise their characters in the sequel to the blockbuster 2021 movie. They stated, "Pushpa 2 the rule is one of the most anticipated Indian films. Following the immense success of Pushpa: The rise, our responsibility to deliver excellence has increased significantly. We have been tirelessly working to complete the movie and release it on time. However, due to the remaining shoot and subsequent post-production work, we will not be releasing the film on August 15th, 2024."
