Vishwak Sen removes controversial posts

Telugu actor Vishwak Sen was quite vociferous over the news of the release date of his film, Gangs of Godavari, being postponed. The actor was so negatively affected by the news, that he took to his Instagram and X handles to share his thoughts on the same. The strongly worded post concluded with him declaring he would not be promoting the film if its release date was to be postponed.

Gangs of Godavari producer Naga Vamsi however, appears to have brought the situation under control. Reports suggest that Vamsi had a discussion with VIshwak Sen ultimately convincing him to delete the posts immediately, considering the bad publicity it was garnering for the yet-to-release film. He has also reportedly assured the actor of a positive resolution to the concerns he had voiced.

Gangs of Godavari was to face competition from two other releases

Gangs of Godavari was initially slated for a release on December 8. This meant that the Vishwak Sen starrer would have to face direct competition from the Nithiin led Extra Ordinary Man. While Extra Ordinary Man would pose a direct threat to the box office collections of Gangs of Godavari, another big banner release would have stiffened the competition for audience footfall. Nani starrer Hi Nanna, which also stars Mrunal Thakur, has reportedly been eyeing a release between December 7 and December 21. Gangs of Godavari, directed by Krishna Chaitanya, also stars Neha Shetty.
