Prabhas, Prithviraj Sukumaran led Salaar 2 to go on floors on THIS date?

Prabhas is currently in the runup to one of the biggest releases of his career, Salaar: Part One - Ceasefire. The actor has already seen through the release of Om Raut's mythological magnum opus, Adipurush in which he essayed the titular role of Raghava, inspired by Lord Rama. With Salaar's theatrical release just a few days away, reports of the film's second part going on floors have already been doing the rounds of the internet.

Salaar 2 to go on floors in 2025?

From the looks of it, the wait for Salaar 2 will be a long one. As per a 123Telugu report, the makers of the film have already locked in the dates for when the second installment of this much-awaited franchise will be going on floors. The date for the same has been set in the latter half of 2025 which comfortably pushes the actual release of the film till at least 2026 if not further ahead.

Considering the scale on which the Salaar franchise is being mounted, even the first installment of the film led by director Prashanth Neel has had its fair share of delays. The film was initially slated for a release on September 28, something that stood indefinitely delayed owing to some scenes needing to be reshot. The film however, is now gearing up for a sure shot release on December 22 when it will clash with Rajkumar Hirani's Dunki.

Prabhas has a hefty lineup of films ahead of him

Post the release of Salaar: Part One - Ceasefire, Prabhas will be counting down to the release of the Nag Ashwin helmed Kalki 2898 AD which will see him share screen space with the likes of Kamal Haasan, Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone.

He is also scheduled to split his time between filming for Maruthi's Raja Deluxe and Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Spirit, the latter of which he will begin filming for in September 2024.
