On the auspicious occasion of Dasara, the makers of Pawan Kalyan starrer Ustaad Bhagat Singh released a special poster featuring the Power Star. The 40-second clip establishes Pawan Kalyan’s character as an angry cop figure who is a rebel in his own system, forced to fight against his own tribe in order to gain some autonomy. The makers followed up the teaser with a motion poster release in September, which showcased Pawan Kalyan looking suave and menacing. Ustaad Bhagat Singh will be the second film where Pawan Kalyan and director Harish Shankar are collaborating - they had earlier worked together in the 2012 film Gabbar Singh, in which Shruti Haasan played the female lead. Pawan Kalyan to be seen in a dual avatar in the filmUstaad Bhagat Singh, has long been in the making. The film was first announced in September 2021, with a working title of Bhavadeeyudu Bhagat Singh. However, the film’s shooting began only in April 2023 - a huge police station set was created in Hyderabad for the first schedule, while the second schedule wrapped up in June 2023. Besides Pawan Kalyan, the film also stars rising Telugu cinema star Sreeleela, Ashutosh Rana, Gauthami among others. Ustaad Bhagat Singh is said to be an official remake of the 2016 Tamil film Theri, which was directed by Atlee and starred Thalapathy Vijay. Theri was the second highest-grossing Tamil film that year, and now the Pawan Kalyan starrer will surely hold similar expectations.
