PM Modi and other ministers condole the Godavari boat capsize victims
PM Modi along with other ministers have paid their condolences to the families affected in the boat capsized in the Godavari, the rescue operation is underway.

In a shocking incident in Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh, the State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA) informed that 11 people lost their lives when a tourist boat ferrying 61 persons on board capsized in the river. Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy has announced Rs 10 lakh ex-gratia for bereaved families and asked for a complete report on the incident. All the boating services in the region have been suspended.
PM Modi offers condolences
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Sunday condoled the demise of 11 people who died after a boat capsized in the Godavari River near Devipatnam in Andhra Pradesh.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee also expressed her condolences at the loss of lives in the Godavari boat tragedy in Andhra Pradesh."Saddened at the loss of lives in the Godavari boat tragedy in Andhra Pradesh. CM Jagan Mohan Reddy's quick action
According to an official statement, Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy has directed National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), Navy and ONGC helicopters to carry out the rescue operations on a war-footing. He has also ordered the ministers in the district to supervise the rescue works. District officials have been directed to suspend all the boating services in the region immediately and check for the license of the boats. The Chief Minister has also asked for a complete report on the incident.
