1,250 fresh cases take Delhi COVID-19 tally to 1,58,604; death toll now 4,270
Delhi recorded 1,250 fresh coronavirus cases on Friday, taking the tally in the city to over 1.58 lakh, while the death toll from the disease mounted to 4,270, authorities said.

Thirteen fatalities linked to the novel coronavirus have been recorded in the last 24 hours, according to the latest bulletin issued by the Delhi health department.
On Thursday, the daily cases count was 1,215 and 22 deaths were reported.
The active case count on Friday rose to 11,426, from 11,271 the previous day.
On June 23, the national capital had reported 3,947 new cases, its highest single-day spike in COVID-19 cases so far.
The death toll from COVID-19 in Delhi stood at 4,257 on Thursday.
The Friday bulletin said the COVID-19 death toll has risen to 4,270 and the total number of cases climbed to 1,58,604.
The positivity rate on Friday stood at 7 per cent while the recovery rate was over 90 per cent, as per the bulletin.
Meanwhile, according to an order issued by the Delhi health department, all medical directors/ and directors of linked hospitals concerned in Delhi and all district magistrates concerned have been directed to wind up healthcare facilities operating in banquet halls with immediate effect.
In pursuance of decision of Delhi Disaster Management Authority, the scheme of creation of healthcare facilities in banquet halls, which was operationalised in linkages with designated COVID hospitals of Delhi, has been discontinued by authorities with immediate effect.
According to the bulletin, out of the total number of beds in COVID hospitals, 10,540 are vacant.
Also, 3,826 beds in COVID care centres are occupied by people under quarantine, including travellers who have returned by Vande Bharat Mission and bubble flights, it said.
According to the bulletin, 1,42,908 COVID-19 patients have recovered, been discharged or migrated so far.
The number of people in home isolation stands at 5,818.
The number of Rapid Antigen Tests conducted on Friday stood at 11,649 while the RT-PCR, CBNAAT and True NAAT tests figures were 6,086, in all adding to 17,735, according to the bulletin.
The total number of tests done till date in Delhi stands at 13,92,928.
The number of tests done per million, as on Friday, was 73,312, it said.
On Friday, the number of containment zones stood at 589.
