The netizens have had a field day over the recent case of a Gurugram man being slapped with a Rs. 23,000 traffic rule violation challan. Dinesh Madan, the man who was driving without a registration certificate and helmet, has been charged with a hefty amount for his mistakes. The big fine comes amid the implementation of the Motor Vehicle Amendment Bill 2019 which has brought with it a new set of penalties and fines. Regardless, the reactions from all around the internet have been funny, sassy, serious and bizarre.

Dinesh Madanā€™s reaction after the fine 

Dinesh Madan, after being hit with the hefty fine, said that ā€œValue of my scooty is around 15,000. I even got a copy of the registration certificate (RC) on WhatsApp from home but by then he had printed. The amount could have been less if he had waited for a while. I want that fine should be relaxed. From now on I will always carry my documents.ā€
