He stressed on the fact that Urdu is an Indian origin language. Captain Amarinder Singh also emphasized that Urdu is an important and a great language just like all the other original languages of our country. Surprised to learn that @OfficialPU has proposed to make the Urdu Department part of the 'School of Foreign Languages'. Urdu is an Indian language, like all the great languages of our country. Will speak to the Vice Chancellor & Senators to review this decision immediately.

Amarinder Singh calls out CBI
CM Amarinder Singh, last week, said that the state government of Punjab had no faith in the premier central agency. This came after the CBI requested a new special investigation team that will probe the desecration of religious texts in Bargari, Punjab. The central agency presented their request in front of the Mohali court. Amarinder Singh said, “The decision to hand over the case to a new SIT three months after the CBI had filed a closure report in the court is a clear ploy to delay the probe and stop the state government from taking over it. The state government has no faith in the CBI in the matter of the Bargari sacrilege case.”
