National Testing Agency has released the admit card for the University Grants Commission’s National Eligibility Test. It will be conducted in December 2019. The admit card of the exam has been released on November 10, 2019. The exam will be conducted from December 2 to December 6, 2019, and it will be a computer-based test. Read on to know more about the computer-based test and the admission card.

How to download the Admit card:

1.       Go to the site mentioned in the link.

2.       On the left side of the newly opened page, there will be a column that will say
          ‘ONLY REGISTERED CANDIDATES SIGN IN’

3.       Enter the application number and password.

4.       Follow the steps.

5.       Download the admit card that has appeared on the screen.

About the exam:

UGC NET examination is a test that determines the eligibility of a person for the post of Assistant Professor or a Junior Research fellowship, in the Indian Universities and government colleges. The NET exam is deemed as one of the toughest examinations in India. The passing percentage of this exam is around 3% to 6%, approximately.

According to National Testing Agency, in June 2019 examination more than 9 lakh candidates applied and only 55,701 applicants cleared the exam. Until 2018, the exam was conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education, but from December 2018 onwards, NTA has started conducting the exam. It will be conducted twice a year, in the months of June and December.

Reservations quota in Junior Research Fellowships:

Candidates clearing JRF exams are also eligible for the National Eligibility Test. UGC follows the Government of India's reservation policy, as per which a minimum of 27%, 10%, 15%, 7.5% and 5% of fellowships are reserved for the OBC (non-creamy layer), EWS, SC, ST and persons with disabilities (PWD). The e-certificates of the qualifying candidates will be available to download on the user profile created by the candidates while filling and submitting their online application forms at the UGC Website.
