Republic TV has accessed the Supreme Court's order copy appointing a 3-member mediation panel into the Ayodhya dispute.

Earlier on Friday, the five-member Constitution Bench of the Supreme Court had issued the order it had reserved on Wednesday, appointing retired Supreme Court Justice Kalifulla, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and Sriram Panchu to the panel and giving it an 8-week deadline to conclude with the mediation. A progress report will be submitted to the Supreme Court in four weeks time.
Following the Supreme Court's appointment of the mediation panel, each of the three members have issued their first statements.
Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, who had also attempted a mediation in 2017-18, issued the following tweet:

Senior advocate and mediator Sriram Panchu said:
"It is a very serious responsibility given to me by the honourable Supreme Court. I will do my best."
And Retired Supreme Court Justice Kalifulla said:
"I understand that Supreme Court has appointed mediation committee headed by me. I am yet to receive the order copy. As of now, I can only say that if the committee has been constituted we will take every effort to resolve the issue amicably."
