Haryana: Tejashwi Yadav campaigns for brother-in-law, a Cong candidate

Amid reports of feud in the family, RJD chief Lalu Yadav's younger son Tejashwi was spotted in Haryana's Rewari, accompanying his brother-in-law Chiranjeev Rao

Amid the reports of feud within the Lalu Prasad Yadav family, the RJD supremo's younger son Tejashwi was recently spotted in Haryana's Rewari. He was accompanying his brother-in-law Chiranjeev Rao as he filed his nomination for the state elections scheduled to take place later in October. Chiranjeev Rao, who is the husband of RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav's sister, is contesting the election on a Congress ticket in Haryana assembly polls from Rewari.

Taking to Twitter, Chiranjeev Rao shared pictures of him filing his nomination from the Rewari assembly seat. In the pictures, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav can be seen accompanying him. Chiranjeev Rao is the son of former minister and Congress leader Captain Ajay Yadav.

Bihar Rains

Meanwhile, the capital city of Bihar is drowning due to incessant rains in the last few days, and the Nitish Kumar administration has not been efficient enough to take necessary measures to save the citizens. However, Opposition led by RJD has also not been very helpful amid the waterlogging in Patna. Notably, Leader of Opposition in Bihar Assembly Tejashwi Yadav has been tweeting to slam the Nitish Kumar administration. But, the workers of his party RJD have also asserted that by staying away from the city and not extending help and support to the people affected due to rains, Tejashwi Yadav has missed an opportunity to gather support of citizens.

Feud in Lalu Yadav family

The feud in former Bihar chief minister Lalu Prasad Yadav's family came out in the open on Sunday when his daughter-in-law - Tej Pratap Yadav's wife alleged abuse and harassment by Misa Bharti and Rabri Devi. After the Bihar Police intervened in the matter and reached Rabri Devi's residence, Tej Pratap's wife Aishwarya was given entry in the residence. This development took place after Aishwarya's father and senior RJD leader Chandrika Rai met the DGP and apprised him of the matter. On Sunday, Tej Pratap's wife Aishwarya Rai alleged that she was not given food and was abused and harassed by her mother-in-law Rabri Devi after she married the RJD leader.
