The Election Commission (EC) on Sunday announced the polling dates for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, with vote-counting scheduled to be held on May 23. Here's when the election in Jammu and Kashmir take place.

The Election Commission (EC) on Sunday announced the polling dates for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, with vote-counting scheduled to be held on May 23. The General elections will be held for 543 Lok Sabha seats on nearly 10 lakh polling booths across the country which higher compared to 9 lakh in 2014, with 84 million more voters will be casting their vote this time, announced the CEC Sunil Arora.
Here's the full schedule for the elections will be held in Jammu and Kashmir:
The election is going to take place in seven phases instead of 9 as compared to 2014 elections.
- 1st phase polling to be held on 11th April
- 2nd phase on 18th April
- 3rd phase on 23rd April
- 4th phase on 29th April
- 5th phase on 6th May
- 6th phase on 12th May
- 7th phase on 19th May
