National Approval Ratings: NDA projected to sweep Lok Sabha polls in Goa, UPA likely to be decimated

With the dates for the all-important Lok Sabha polls now announced, the various political parties and the citizens of India have complete clarity on exactly when the country will once again undertake the largest exercise in democracy anywhere in the world.

As there is just about one month for the Lok Sabha polls, Republic TV and CVoter bring you the National Approval Ratings.

The months preceding the latest National Approval Ratings have witnessed a number of massive developments that may have a big impact on the on-ground sentiment as the phase-wise voting approaches. A parallel CVoter survey has already indicated that citizens' satisfaction with the performance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been on an upswing since the Feb 1 budget where a number of significant announcements were made - especially for farmers and for middle-class taxpayers. This satisfaction index the skyrocketed following India's air-strike against Pakistani terror bases across the LoC. Simultaneously, the satisfaction index of Congress president Rahul Gandhi has spiralled downward in the same time-frame.

The survey gives you a picture of who will win if the polls are held on this date in Goa which has two seats.

The NDA is likely to win all the seats. 

In terms of the vote share, NDA is projected to get 45.1% of the votes while UPA is likely to get  42.7% of the votes.

Projections for January:

In January, the two seats were projected to split between the NDA and UPA. While the vote share for the parties were prjected as follow:

UPA- 38.5%
NDA-43.7%
Others- 17.8%

Projections for December:

Seat Share:
UPA: 0 seats

NDA:  2 seats

Vote Share:
UPA: 38.5%

NDA: 46.3%

Total: 17.9%
