Sena-BJP will work as per formula: Fadnavis on Maharashtra CM question

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Thursday has said that Shiv Sena and BJP will work according to the decided formula, when asked about decision on CM post

As the counting for Maharashtra assembly polls is underway, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Thursday has said that Shiv Sena and BJP will work according to the decided formula. Answering a question on Chief Ministerial post in his press briefing ahead of the final results, Fadnavis said that the Mahayuti alliance will work as per decided. He also said that people have given a decisive mandate and the strike rate of BJP has improved. 

"Whatever has been decided, we will work accordingly. Sena and BJP already have a decided formula. We will work as per formula. My answer will not change if you ask me the same question again and again," Fadnavis said as BJP workers at the party headquaters celebrated the victory of the Mahayuti alliance.

Uddhav Thackeray reminds BJP of the 50-50 formula 

Addressing the media ahead of the final result, Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray reminded the BJPof the 50-50 formula. When asked who will be the CM, he said that BJP and Shiv Sena will sit and decide on it. He added that if necessary BJP president Amit Shah will also come and then the decision will be taken.

Maharashtra elections

As per the Election Commission, the BJP has won 50 seats and is leading on 52 seats. Shiv Sena has won 38 and is leading on 18 seats. While AIMIM has won 1 seat and is leading on 1 seat, MNS is leading on 1 seat.
