Prime Minister Narendra Modi, after a successful informal summit with China, is set to campaign for the upcoming elections in Maharashtra on Sunday. PM Modi took to Twitter on Saturday night to inform the people that he will be addressing rallies at Jalgaon and Sakoli in Maharashtra. The poll-bound state of Maharashtra will be voting on October 21 and the results are supposed to be declared on October 24. Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis and Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray have also been actively campaigning in the State for the elections.
PM Modi's poll campaign
Will be campaigning in Maharashtra tomorrow. Looking forward to addressing rallies in Jalgaon and Sakoli. The NDA is going to the people based on the stellar work of our Government led by the youthful and visionary CM @Dev_Fadnavis Ji. We seek five more years to serve the state.

BJP-Shiv Sena alliance
The Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) and Shiv Sena are going to contest the Maharashtra assembly elections together. The seat-sharing between the two parties is 164 and 124, where Shiv Sena is a minority partner. Aaditya Thackeray, who is the son of Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray, will be contesting the assembly elections from the Worli seat in Mumbai. He is the first-ever direct member of the Thackeray family to contest elections.
Speaking about the alliance between the two parties, Uddhav Thackeray had earlier said that, “The Shiv Sena doesn't bow before anyone except Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and the Marathi-speaking people. We did make some compromises for the alliance to happen, but they were in the interest of Maharashtra. I apologise to the Shiv Sainiks whose seats have gone to the allies. You have to continue working hard to make the party strong and work to ensure its victory”.
JP Nadda on Devendra Fadnavis
Just like PM Modi, who in one of his tweets, referred to the current Chief Minister of Maharashtra as “youthful and visionary”, JP Nadda also praised Fadnavis. He said, “Maharashtra already chose a development engine in the form of Narendra Modi six months ago. There is a need for another engine in the form of Devendra Fadnavis which will double the pace of development. The development projects worth Rs. 15 lakh crore are underway in the State”. He also said, “This election is not just about making Devendra Fadnavis the Chief Minister. This election is meant to take Maharashtra towards development and it can only be done by the BJP-Shiv Sena alliance”.
