11 deaths, 2,216 new COVID-19 cases in Telangana
Telangana reported 2,216 new COVID-19 cases, pushing the infection count to 1,57,096, while 11 fatalities took the toll to 961 on Sunday, the state government said.

The active cases under treatment stood at 31,607 after cumulative recoveries of 1,24,528, a bulletin providing data as of 8 PM on September 12, said.
Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) accounted for the highest number of cases with 341, followed by Rangareddy (210), Medchal Malkajgiri (148), Nalgonda (126), Karimnagar (119), Khammam (105) and Warangal Urban (102) districts.
All 33 districts reported cases in double digits.
As many as 56,217 samples were tested on September 12, taking the total number of specimens examined so far to 21,34,912.
The samples tested per million population was 57,504, it said.
The case fatality rate was 0.61 per cent against 1.65 per cent at the national level.
The recovery rate was 79.2 per cent, against the national average of 77.84 per cent.
A total of 24,674 people are in-home or institutional isolation, the bulletin said.
