Andhra Pradesh: Infant dies after TV falls on her head at home

In a tragic incident, an 11-month-old infant died after a TV fell on her at her house in Kasibugga town of Andhra Pradesh's Srikakulam district.

In a tragic incident, an 11-month-old infant in Andhra Pradesh died after a TV fell on her at her house. According to reports, the infant had accidentally pulled down the wires of the TV set at her house at New Colony area in Kasibugga town of Andhra Pradesh's Srikakulam district.

The incident

According to reports, the 11-month-old's mother was feeding the baby. However, the infant was restless while having food. Furthermore, the infant crawled inside a room and pulled down the wires of the television kept on the table which fell on her. The parents immediately rushed her to a nearby hospital. However, unfortunately, she succumbed to the injuries. The Kasibugga Police confirmed the infant's death, however, a complaint has not been registered in this matter.

Other infant-related incidents

In another tragic incident, a four-month-old infant died, while others were injured when a fire broke out at a private hospital at L.B. Nagar in Hyderabad on October 21. According to reports, the fire broke out in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) on the fourth floor of Shine Children's Hospital in the early hours of the day. Six infants were in incubators in the hospital. While five of them sustained burn injuries, one of them died, stated reports.

In another incident, on November 3, another four-month-old baby died after a monkey dropped a stone and it fell on the infant's head. According to the police, the incident happened at the infant's home in Sohjani village of Uttar Pradesh's Muzaffarnagar district. Reports stated that the monkey was on the terrace while the child was on the ground floor with his parents. The monkey had picked up a stone that was on the terrace. However, the stone slipped from the monkey's hand and landed on the infant's head. According to further reports, the child's parents rushed him to a nearby hospital, but he succumbed to injuries.
