As India strikes Pakistan-based JeM launchpads, here's how Indian security forces vowed revenge post Pulwama terror attack

In the aftermath of the Pulwama terror attack which took place on February 14, the Indian forces had vowed to avenge the deaths of 40 CRPF soldiers which was claimed by Pakistan backed JeM terror outfit.

In the aftermath of the Pulwama terror attack which took place on February 14, the Indian forces had vowed to avenge the deaths of 40 CRPF soldiers which was claimed by Pakistan backed JeM terror outfit. And in a major development on Tuesday, February 26, Indian security forces struck down the biggest training camp of Jaish-e-Mohammad in Balakot and other parts of Pakistan, 12 days after Pulwama terror attack.

India conducted a major pre-emptive strike on Jaish-e-Mohammed’s biggest camp on Tuesday to prevent suicide attacks being planned by the Pakistan-based terror group, killing a large number of terrorists and trainers, Indian Foreign Secretary Vijay Gokhale confirmed addressing a press briefing.official twitter handle said “WE WILL NOT FORGET, WE WILL NOT FORGIVE” and today the combination of all our forces have come together to act against JeM by eliminating their palatial training hubs in Pakistan

Taking to Twitter on February 14, CRPF has put out a tweet saying, "WE WILL NOT FORGET, WE WILL NOT FORGIVE."

On Tuesday, the IAF destroyed JeM's Balakot Terror Camp, headed by IC-814 hijacker and Masood Azhar's brother-in-law Yusuf Azhar. Top sources told Republic TV that over 245 foot soldiers and terrorists who were undergoing training at Jaish-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Toiba and Hizb-ul-Mujahideen terror camps at Balakot, Muzaffarabad and Chakothi in Pakistan were neutralised in the Indian Air Force's pre-dawn strike across the LoC.

On February 16, two days after terror attack in Pulwama, Air Chief Marshal BS Dhanoa had said that the Indian Air Force will always be prepared to deliver an "appropriate response"

"The IAF is ever prepared to deliver appropriate response as assigned by our political leadership. It will always remain at the forefront in executing its missions," he said at the inauguration of the Vayu Shakti exercise, a massive day and night drill in Pokhran, Rajasthan. 

On February 20, the Indian Army, CRPF and J&K Police addressed a joint press briefing in Srinagar highlighting the developments in the action plan of India against Pakistan. Addressing the press briefing, Lt Gen KJS Dhillon of the Indian Army declared that security forces killed the JeM terrorists, who perpetrated the heinous terror attack in which 40 CRPF soldiers were martyred, had been killed in "less than 100 hours" of the Pulwama incident.

"The complete attack on the convoy was masterminded by Pakistan, ISI and the JeM from across the border. There's no doubt in that", said Corps Commander Lt Gen K J S Dhillon during the joint press briefing.

In a strong message to terrorists and terrorist backers in Jammu and Kashmir, Lt Gen KJS Dhillon, Corps Commander of Chinar Corps, Indian Army, announced that terrorists must lay down guns or be killed.

 "JeM is the son of Pak Army. It was being controlled by Pakistan Army and ISI. So, Pakistan Army is definitely involved in the incident and there is no doubt in that" Lt. General KJS Dhillon had added. 

After the Pulwama attack, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had said security forces have been given full freedom to retaliate against the attack. India has also said it will ensure "complete isolation" of Pakistan internationally for its support to terror groups.
