In the footage, a senior citizen in a white shirt can be seen calmly making his way towards the platform before stepping down on tracks to commit suicide. The elderly man appeared to contemplate his action before resolving to jump on the tracks right when a train approached the platform. The man shocks everyone by sitting down on the track right before the train enters the frame. However, even as people realise and frantically try to bring attention to the man's attempt, a Railway Police Force officer emerges, wastes no time in jumping on the track and pulls the man to safety.

The officials who stood up to foil the suicide attempt were later identified as SH Manoj and Ashok. As for the senior citizen, his family is glad that the RPF saved him and extended their gratitude.
