CEC Sunil Arora on TN Seshan: 'Always a source of inspiration'

Chief Election Commissioner Sunil Arora on Monday, expressed his grief over the demise of former CEC TN Shah and said he will always be a source of inspiration

Chief Election Commissioner Sunil Arora on Monday, November 10 expressed his grief over the demise of former Chief Election Commissioner TN Shah. The CEC SAID Sunil Arora will always be a source of inspiration for all CECs and Election Commissioners. "The Election Commission of India deeply mourns the passing away of Sh TN Seshan. Expressing his condolences, CEC Sh Sunil Arora said. 

'The man who reformed our Electoral System'

The Indian Administrative Service Association also remembered the former CEC and said he reformed the electoral system of the country. "The man who reformed our Electoral System as we know today is no more. Shri TN Seshan (1955 TN) - served the nation in various capacities and is a true role model for all of us. His demise is a great loss for the nation & society. Condolences. tweeted the Indian Administrative Service Association."

PM Modi remembers TN Seshan 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also remembered the former CEC and said his efforts have made the Indian Democracy stronger.

Amit Shah Condoles the death of former CEC TN Seshan

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also remembered the former CEC TN Seshan and said his efforts in strengthening democracy in our country is invaluable.

TN Seshan died at Chennai following a cardiac arrest on Sunday night. The 87-year-old was the 10th CEC and had served from December 12, 1990, till December 11, 1996. He was a retired 1955 batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of Tamil Nadu cadre.
