The city of dreams has been a hub for films and is synonymous with Bollywood. It houses the biggest film production houses in the country. It is also called the city of opportunities as people from across India come to Mumbai in search of a job opportunity. One of the most diversifiable cities in India, the culture of the Metro city is a boisterous blend of all the unique cultures present in the country.
Dotted with film studios
Mumbai’s film city is located in Goregaon. However, some of the most famous studios like Mehboob Studios and RK Films and Studios are situated in Bandra and Chembur respectively. Apart from this, the city has many historical places and unique and intriguing backstory that one cannot miss. It has an interesting mixture of modern and ancient culture, structure, and design.
Film Cities in Other Locations
Apart from Mumbai, there are many film cities located across India, including Noida, Hyderabad, and Chennai. The film city in Noida is a 100 acres complex with 75 acres outdoor 25 acres indoor, 16 studios. It is the first choice for shooting television serials, news, and current affairs programs. Other famous film cities include Chennai's Film city in Tamil Nadu and Hyderabad's Ramoji Film City. Spread across 2,500 acres, Ramoji Film City is also a huge tourist destination. It boasts of being the world's largest production complex.
